... and the anti-religious sentiments are pouring in. If I got the details right, the issue was brought up by a beta tester and not by an Islamic group. However, that has not stopped some of these commenters criticising a whole religious group for the one-week delay.

You can disseminate the whole story starting from Eurogamer.net. Interestingly enough, at time of writing, the pre-dominantly UK site has already garnered 315+ comments followed by Germany with 68, Spain with 7 and France with a meager 3.

Some of the comments got me so riled up, I had to put my own thoughts in.

Most people walk into a shop and leave after spending more than they wanted, or indeed, needed to.

This must've been our lucky day.

We walked into John Lewis to use up some vouchers, without realising they actually had a selection of games. I thought I already landed a bargain when I spotted Too Human for £9.99, so I bought that and Eye Training for a grand total of £7.50.

Then, we spotted Sackboy displayed on a huge, 50-odd inch Sony TV on the way out. It was a Sony Camcorder live feed of a little figurine. WOOT - The gadgets AND the figurine!

They had some other Little Big Planet promo posters displayed. It looks like they're finally driving for some mainstream exposure and what better venue than, er, John Lewis. With no faith in their knowledge of the video game products they were selling, I grabbed the nearest sales assistant and asked him if he knew anything about Little Big Planet.

"Actually, I know everything about it!" - He was wearing a Little Big Planet T-shirt.

And he was Sony guy, floating around to promote the game. Sheepishly, we asked whether they were selling the figurine and before we knew it, we were walking away with two t-shirts and the figurine above, for free.

After some browsing, I wonder whether these are the Shopto.net pre-order offers that were pulled by Sony a few weeks ago.

I am doing my head in, trying to come up with something clever to say to start this blog-thing off with more than just a "Hello world!". I'm sure I'm not the first one to talk about trying to find something to talk about... which completely defeats the point of blogging.

Well, it's fairly late in the day. At least I registered keekspeak, peed about with the dashboard a bit, thereby marking a perimter around this part of the net.

Posted retroactively on 22nd November, 2008: Almost every retailer has released exclusive editions that can't be had anywhere else in order to lure the punters in. Just spotted some at Gamestation, and they seem to be on fire with their initiatives. Although, £130 for a gold sprayed toy...?

OOP/Spot: The BioShock Big Daddy Edition

Posted retroactively on 22 Nov, 2008: After the inital panic of forgetting, then having my London house keys delivered across the Saudi desert across the border into another country in under 3 hours just in time before my flight, I thought I should wind down with a bit of window shopping.

I was looking for Command and Conquer 3 (non-classics) and came across THIS instead:

XBOX 360 PAL versions of the old GAME exclusive (at least in the UK) BioShock "Big Daddy" editions. Two boxes. One shrink wrapped in a slightly dodgy cardboard box. The other one lazily re-sealed with sticky tape (i.e. very dodgy) cardboard box. Of course, the shrink wrapped one had the problem with the amputated Big Daddy's, whereas the very dodgy box had a pristine looking Big Daddy.
